Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp agave
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper or to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the cabbage into thick steaks, about ¾ to 1 inch thick, keeping the core intact so the steaks hold together

  • Place the cabbage steaks on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, agave, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  • Coat each steak with the balsamic mixture on both sides.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 25–30 minutes, until golden and caramelized.
  • Enjoy warm, optionally topped with fresh parsley or dill.
