Simple Roasted  Broccoli

Yield

4 servings

Time

30 minutes

Ingredients

– 1 ½ lb. broccoli – 2 tbsp. oil I used grapeseed oil – 2 tbsp. soy sauce – 1 tsp. agave syrup – 1 tsp. paprika – red pepper flakes to taste

1. In a small bowl, mix together the oil, soy sauce, agave, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

2. Place the broccoli onto a large non-stick baking sheet and pour the soy-sauce mixture over it. Using your hands mix everything nicely.

3. Roast at 425°F for 20 minutes until cooked through (check by poking with a fork, should be fork tender) and lightly browned. The browned bits are the best! So don't worry if you see some charring.

The other great aspect of broccoli is that it's really easy to store and reheat. As long as you store it in an airtight container in the fridge, it should stay fresh for about 5 days without any issues.
